Hollows II is my favorite piece from this collection and inspired me to keep going; pushing to paint more scenes using only pale sage, white, ochre and deep umber. I love the build up of foliage in the foreground, and how the clouds mound upon each other, allowing for warmth and light to peek through. This bright, rising warmth creates a reassuring and calming presence in this lush and grounded landscape."
